| '''Rei Ayanami''' is a character from the ] series, '']'' and easily one of the most recognizable characters in ]. She is a 14 year old socially-withdrawn (introverted) girl. She turns out to be a clone, and is widely theorised to be a clone of Yui Ikari or a hybrid of Yui Ikari and the angel Lilith. Another popular theory is that she is a clone of Yui Ikari, but containing the soul of Lilith. It is also quite possible that she is genetically Lilith in origin, but physically manipulated to look like Yui, since Reis seem to drop out of Lilith's leg stumps. | |||
