2 Broke Girls is an American television sitcom created by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings for CBS, who serves as executive producers. The series stars Kat Dennings as Max, who comes from a poor working-class family, and Caroline (Beth Behrs), who was born rich but is now down on her luck, working together at a Brooklyn restaurant. Each episode ends with how much money they made from their jobs, which they must raise in order to launch a cupcake business (The goal is $250,000).
