Doris "Dossy" Grau (October 12, 1924 - December 30, 1995) was an American actress, script supervisor and voice actress.
She played gravel-voiced, chain-smoking women on TV shows like The Simpsons and The Critic. She also had a few guest appearances on The Tracey Ullman Show and the sitcom Cheers. Since her death, the characters she voiced have been 'retired' out of respect. She is perhaps best known to younger people for her portrayal of Springfield Elementary School cafeteria worker Lunchlady Doris, on the animated series The Simpsons. She was a terrific actress and is sadly missed.
