Barnstar

Thank you for the Barnstar Jim, much appreciated! I was surprised, relieved, and pleased to have received unanimous support for that page move. Vietminh (talk) 03:48, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

FGM

I haven't been on Misplaced Pages in a while, just had an inkling that I should check the FGM page haha. I commented in opposition to the Requested Move and reminded the person that started it that they ought to have checked the recent archives before starting an RM, they would have found the RfC that clearly established overwhelming support for the term FGM. Thanks, Vietminh (talk) 08:58, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi Jim1138. After reviewing your request for rollback, an administrator has enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Misplaced Pages:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! That's me! Track me! 09:08, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Lord EDITS is this IP user. Should the user be reported for Sock puppetry? Oz 05:16, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

Causes of sexual violence

Sorry, but the IP has a point: they explained their edits and opened up a conversation on the talk page. If you do not wish to participate in that discussion, that's fine, but you cannot simply revert and give them a final warning for vandalism: they are acting appropriately. Thank you. A beer for you!

Thanks: it takes character to do what you did. Enjoy, Drmies (talk) 02:24, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

I blocked him for the long-term disruption, but just so you know, it is perfectly within policy to blank warnings from your user talk page. 04:56, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Shrewsbury vandalism

Well done, did not notice the massive revisions - probably because Misplaced Pages only flagged the most recent change. Will check Page History next time! Samluke777 (talk) 20:25, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

I got logged out when I made that edit, it was made by me. I was undoing an edit made long ago just noticed that violated the respect for variants rule.
