*The point of an encyclopedia article is to inform in a clear and concise way. This page is not clear, concise or in its present form very informative. If the author is new, that's a pity, but in trying to guess the intentions of the anonymous author (who may or may not be User:Benking) we are entering the land of supposition, which is also not encyclopedic. In fact it is dangerous territory. I still say in its present form - delete. ] 07:36, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC) *The point of an encyclopedia article is to inform in a clear and concise way. Am I missing something ? (rhetorical question) - or is this a vanity C.V; or long indecipherable ramble about God knows what! delete: Giano 13:06, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately, though he seems like an interesting person, he doesn't seem notable. Delete unless someone can provide evidence of notability. Spectatrix 16:15, 2004 Jul 14 (UTC)
  • He appears to be a futurist and freethinker; Google returns 3,100 hits. Weak keep. DS 04:26, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • He's a futurist and self-appointed philosopher, and he seems to also do a little bit of urban planning theory. He's given some conference talks, but I don't know how notable. I too would lean towards a weak Keep pending more imput... but needs serious cleanup if we keep it. FZ 15:38, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: I can see notability here, but the question is whether Clean Up would get anything. The pAge has RanDoM capiTalization. If a German speaker knows the person, it would be good to have, but I'm not sure we can salvage it. Geogre 16:22, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: rhetorical question or not, Giano, you may not be aware that this article is a translation of User:Benking's userpage, which is in German. Perhaps the user could be encouraged to put the translation on his own page, even though the English is less than perfect (don't, you know, bite 'em)? --Bishonen 18:09, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
    • Bishonen, you are suggesting that he put the translation on his user page, right? Seems like he was posting his personal page (translated) into main Wiki space. Then again, he is a notable and probably qualifies. Geogre 02:57, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC)
      • That is what I'm suggesting, and I was thinking that it might perhaps be what User:Benking was attempting in the first place, if he was working on his userpage, getting it into English the way it should be, and then accidentally published the translation as a regular Misplaced Pages article instead of replacing his German text with it.--Bishonen 03:36, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC)
