April Masini (b. 1964) is an American dating and relationship advice columnist, television and film producer, and political activist. Masini is the author of Think and Date Like a Man and Date Out of Your League, and is responsible for the American television show Baywatchbeing filmed in Hawaii. Masini has been touted “The New Millennium’s Dear Abby”, and continues to provide dating and relationship advice to an international audience through the AskApril Q&A forum that was founded in 2005.
Life
Masini was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to a military family. Masini's mother, June Stride was an award-winning author of seventeen educational works. Her father, Robert Barry, was a member of the Green Beret in the Vietnam War and currently serves on the National Board of Directors for Vietnam Veterans of America as the Region 4 Director.
Masini was married to Al Masini from 1995 until 1999. Today, she is married to consultant Philip Spencer.
Career
Television and Film Production
Masini successfully lobbied for film and television production legislation in Hawaii. In 2000, she raised several million dollars in financing for productions such as Blue Crush, Baywatch and the Miss Universe pageant. She is credited for the relocation of Baywatch to Hawaii in 1999 by Governor Benjamin J. Cayetano, and served as the show's producer while it was in Hawaii.

On June 15, 2006, Masini was interviewed by political commentator Bill O'Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor to discuss her book Think and Date Like a Man and the conduct of young American women that attend private parties.
