Jim Ryan is a veteran television reporter and anchorman in New York City. He started his broadcast news career as a producer at WNBC in 1974, eventually becoming an anchor/reporter until he left for WNEW (later WNYW-TV in in 1985. He became the station's political reporter until he began co-anchoring Good Day New York in 1988, a position he held until 2005. He is currently co-anchoring CBS 2 News This Morning on WCBS-TV .
