"Shampoo"
Song

"Shampoo" is the lead single from After School's first full-length album, Virgin. The song marked the first appearance of the group's ninth member, E-Young. It was released digitally on April 27, 2011 to promote After School's first full-length album, Virgin, which was to be released two days later. The single was quite successful, peaking at #4 on the Gaon Singles Chart. The song was later re-recorded in Japanese for the group's debut Japanese album, Playgirlz.

Background

A music video teaser was uploaded onto the Pledis Entertainment Official YouTube channel on the 25th, and the full audio track for "Shampoo" was uploaded to the internet two days later. The full music video was released on April 29, 2011. After School began promotions for the song starting with KBS's Music Bank. The song was promoted alongside "Let's Step Up".
