The Centre for Newfoundland Studies is a section of the Memorial University of Newfoundland library complete devoted to the collection and storage of ] related articles and maps. Founded in 1966 by Agnes O'Dea it is now home to many rare manuscripts, maps and articles related to the people and history of Newfoundland and Labrador. To date it houses the largest collection of Newfoundland material found anywhere. There are more that 20,000 biography files and individual files of newspaper clippings on every community in the province and in total it has in excess of 70,000 volumes in its collection.
