Julian Glover is an English journalist and speech-writer who currently serves as a Special Adviser in Her Majesty's Government. He nows works at the Department for Transport. Previously he was Chief Speech-writer to the Prime Minister.. However, he was removed from this position in September 2012 after a series of lacklustre speeches. The Prime Minister was widely believed to have been upstaged during the Olympic and Paralympic Games by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. Glover is now paying the price for this in his new, low-profile role.

Glover wrote for British newspaper The Guardian from 2001 to 2011 as a leader writer and columnist. On 7 October 2011, it was announced that he had been appointed as the Chief Speech-writer to Prime Minister, David Cameron.

He has been the Civil Partner of Times columnist and former Conservative MP Matthew Parris since 2006.
