Gerard James Butler, was born November 13, 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland, but grew up primarily in Paisley, Scotland. As a child, he lived in Toronto, but his family moved back to Scotland after his father left. He studied law at the Glasgow University, but quit his job in order to become an actor. He has stared in many hit movies, Dracula 2000, The Cherry Orchard, The Jury, Lara Croft Cradle of Life, Timeline, and the upcoming The Phantom of the Opera.
