Cast

Khan will be presented in two very versatile roles, one in his late twenties resembling that of his earlier performance Raj from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and the other at a more mature age as an introverted, composed, and dutiful army officer in Kashmir.
Prior to the film's release, Kaif's role was described as "the archetypal Yash Chopra seductress, an unattainable beauty." She was reported to have put in a significant amount of work to make her character believable, and was helped by Khan, who had prior experience with the director. Kaif faced difficulty at times while filming in London due to the cold weather.
