Anand Group in India, mainly relates to the automotive sector. Headquartered in Delhi, India, the organisation was founded by Deep C Anand, at the young age of 27, in 1961. The company's name was christened after the founder’s name. The company, synonymous with the name 'Anand', is called to be the best industry player in automotive solutions; it manufactures as well as supplies automotive systems and components. It has brought multifarious technologies to the Indian auto industry, through its highly rated suspension systems, air-conditioning system and other engine components.
Gabriel India was the first business venture of the company. It was set up in collaboration with Maremont Corporation (now Gabriel Ride Control Products of ArvinMeritor Inc.), USA for manufacture of shock absorbers at Mulund in Mumbai.
Today, Gabriel is called to be the flagship company of the group. Also, it was referred as one of the best companies to work for in 2012. Out of 600 organisations, which registered for "India's Best Companies to Work for" Study, across different verticals in 2012, conducted by The Economic Times and Great Place to Work Institute, India (greatplacetowork.in), Gabriel India Ltd was called to be one of few best in the auto-components sector along with Apollo Tyres Ltd, Eaton Technologies Pvt Ltd and Rane Engine Valve Ltd.
At present, the group in total has twenty global alliances and nineteen companies, spread across 50 locations. Besides, Anand also has a business vertical in hospitality, operating small, exclusive luxury hotels, called as Sujan Luxury Hotels Group.
Anand Group is progressing and expects to double its revenues, while targeting to achieve INR 100 Billion by 2015.
