I used to edit Misplaced Pages quite heavily, and I racked up more than 12,000 edits between 2007 and 2011. Eventually, though, the drama drove me away, and I moved to Wikinews, where I wrote ] and became an editor, administrator, OTRS volunteer, and ] (during a particularly uneventful term that saw literally zero cases). Wikinews subsequently became even worse for drama, and I left the Wikimedia family altogether. |
⚫ |
I eventually missed Misplaced Pages, so I've decided to resurrect my account here, but I'm going to attempt to keep away from all the drama. I want to contribute content, and little more. That means I won't allow myself to get dragged into disputes (unless another editor raises an issue with my actions specifically), and I won't attempt to "collect hats"—I'm happy to be a normal editor for the foreseeable future. |

For a while, I worked on OpenGlobe, a Wikinews fork that aimed to fix the perceived problems with the original; unfortunately, after about two years of varying success (during which time I became a ]), the project closed down due to a lack of funding. I'm still involved in non-traditional journalism as the creative director of LibreGlobe, a project still in its planning phase, and through to '']'', the campus broadsheet. |
|
I'm currently busy with real life and with helping to set up LibreGlobe, a wiki-based news and current affairs project of which I am the Creative Director. As such, I probably won't be as active as I used to be just yet, but I'll be around. den] |

I eventually missed Misplaced Pages, so I decided to resurrect my account here, with the caveat that drama (i.e., every single project-space page) is to be avoided as much as possible. I want to contribute content, and little more. That means I won't allow myself to get dragged into disputes (unless another editor raises an issue with my actions specifically), and I won't attempt to "collect hats"—I'm happy to be a standard member of the editing proletariat for the time being. |

University and having a real life keep me pretty busy, so I don't actually have a great deal of time to contribute—and the time I have tends to be spent on less productive things—but I'm generally around to respond to things, and I'm interested in any contributions I can make to content, so please do get in touch if you have a project for me. |

Awards
|

I appreciate barnstars and things, and I'm flattered to receive them, but I see no point in keeping an archive of them all here—it strikes me as "trophy collecting", and will probably serve only to inflate my ego. However, certain awards are probably worth mentioning. |
