Anne Frances Milton MP (born 1955) is the Conservative MP for Guildford.

Milton was educated at Haywards Heath Grammar School in West Sussex. She later trained as a nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and worked for the NHS for 25 years, as a district nurse and for people with terminal cancer.

Milton was a councillor in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead 1999 – 2004 and led the Conservative Group on the council. She was a member of the South East Regional Assembly and Vice Chairman of the Conservative Medical Society.

Milton was elected to Parliament in the 2005 general election, narrowly beating Liberal Democrat Sue Doughty by just a few hundred votes.

During the election campaign, Milton became the subject of an investigative weblog by online activist Tim Ireland, which began by revealing that a large number of 'on the street' supporters from her campaign leaflets were, in fact, party activists and/or members of her campaign team. The weblog continues today by studying her record as a serving MP. In May 2006, it revealed that Milton's public statement against the proposed merger of five local Primary Care Trusts was undermined by an undeclared conflict of interest (in that her husband held a key position in a local PCT that was likely to be compromised by the proposed amalgamation) . Milton refuses to discuss the weblog in public, and dismisses the author as "an angry young man" .

Milton is a member of the Health Select Committee. Her hobbies include gardening, running and reading.

"Lookalikes"

It emerged during the 2005 general election campaign that Mrs Milton had a striking resemblance to Julian Clary. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror at the time, she said: "I was amazed by it, I think it's very amusing". Writing in a June 2006 column in the New Statesman, Clary described her presence at a local book-signing as "Tory MP Anne Milton, puckering up for a photo opportunity" .
