Sacrifice is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in the month of May. The first one was held in August 2005. When event names were shuffled by TNA for 2006, the event was moved to May. Sacrifice has had a tradition of being the final round of tournaments. Sacrifice 2005 saw Samoa Joe defeat A.J. Styles to win the Super X Cup. Sacrifice 2006 was the final round of the World X Cup Tournament. Sacrifice 2008 continued the tradition with the finals of the Deuces Wild Tag Team Tournament. Sacrifice 2009 featured Beer Money, Inc. defeating The British Invasion in the finals of the Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament. All Events have been held inside the Impact! Zone. On January 11, 2013, TNA announced that in 2013 will be only four PPVs, dropping Sacrifice. . In February 2014 it was announced that they revived Sacrifice and will be held on April. Rob Van Dam was featured in the main event in the last three consecutive Sacrifice events.

Sacrifice (2006) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) eventproduced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which took place on May 14, 2006 at the TNA Impact! Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the second event under the Sacrifice chronology. Eight matches were featured on the event'scard.
- Jushin Liger (with Black Tiger IV, Minoru Tanaka, and Hirooki Goto) defeated Petey Williams (with Eric Young, Johnny Devine, and Tyson Dux) in a World X Cup match (07:16)
- Liger pinned Williams after a Crash Thunder Buster.
- America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) defeated A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship (15:30)
- Harris pinned Styles after hitting him with a nightstick thrown down from the rafters by Gail Kim.
- Raven defeated A-1 (with Larry Zbyszko) (05:19)
- Raven pinned A-1 after a Raven Effect DDT.
- Bobby Roode (with Coach D'Amore) defeated Rhino (12:07)
- Roode pinned Rhino after a Northern Lariat.
- The James Gang (B.G. James and Kip James) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) (09:35)

- Chris Sabin defeated Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt in a Three Way match to retain the TNA X Division Championship (13:00)
- Sabin pinned Dutt with a roll-up.
- After the match, Dutt attacked Kevin Nash.
- Robert Roode (with Ms. Brooks) defeated Jeff Jarrett (11:21)
- Roode pinned Jarrett with the Payoff.
- Christopher Daniels defeated Rhino (10:01)
- Daniels pinned Rhino after hitting him with a baseball bat.
- Basham and Damaja (with Christy Hemme) defeated Kip James in a Handicap match (04:26)
- Basham pinned James after a diving headbutt.
- B.G. James was scheduled for the match, but was attacked by Basham and Damaja beforehand.
- Chris Harris defeated James Storm in a Texas Death match (17:14)
- Harris won the match when he pinned Storm after hitting him with a beer bottle and Storm could not answer the 10 count.
- Jerry Lynn defeated Tiger Mask IV, Alex Shelley, and Senshi in a Four-Corners match (10:43)
- Lynn pinned Shelley with a roll-up.
- After the match, Shelley and Chris Sabin attacked Lynn until Bob Backlund made the save.
- Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) defeated Scott Steiner and Tomko and The Latin American Xchange (Homicide and Hernandez) in a Three-Way Dance to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship (12:38)
- Ray pinned Tomko after a 3D
- After the match, Tomko attacked Steiner but he was saved by his brother Rick Steiner
- Samoa Joe defeated A.J. Styles (12:48)
- Joe pinned Styles after a rear naked choke suplex.
- Kurt Angle defeated Sting and Christian Cage in a in a Three Way match to crown the first TNA World Heavyweight Champion (10:45)
- Angle forced Sting to submit with the Ankle Lock while he had Cage pinned. The referee declared Angle the winner.
- Angle's victory was later revoked as the final decision resulted in the new title being vacated.
