I don't know where to begin in listing all the things that are awful about this system. It is a calculated assault on the potential of golf in every country except the U.S.; it treats the Players Championship like a major, when there is no consent for presumption in the rest of the world; the points allocation is ludicrous (only a 10% premium for majors!); the recalculating is complex and cynically computer modelled to create artificial suspense; it makes a total joke of the money list; it offers a so-called "golfer of the year title" that might go to a player who missed the cut in all four majors. The whole thing utterly stinks. ] 03:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC) | I don't know where to begin in listing all the things that are awful about this system. In Australia we produce about four times as many top one hundred ranked golfers per capita as the U.S. matters, but Tom Finchem would just love it if none of them ever played in Australia again. ] 03:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC) |
