Rhododendron indica (Piedmont rhododendron) is a rhododendron species native to Japan (S & W Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Yakushima). It is the type species for the Tsutsusi section and subsection.

Cultivation

Cultivars include the Satsuki azaleas.
