Simon Hackett

Simon Walter Hackett is the founder and managing director of Internode Systems, Agile Communications and Stemme Australia, the Australian representative of Stemme AG. He is also a board member of The Australian Network for Arts and Technology.

Hackett is a former board member of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and m.Net Corporation. He co-founded and is a former director of The Internet Society of Australia, and is the founding and current president of The South Australian Internet Association.

He created The Famous Internet Toaster quite a while ago.

He is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.

He is frequently active in the Internode forum on Whirlpool and has an unofficial fan club due to his rollout of ADSL2+.

This Simon Hackett is not related to the Simon Hackett who manufactures wine in McLaren Vale.
