The topic of the film deals with neoliberal economics in the Balkans,<ref name="Novosti"/> and the story in the sequel continues where the first part ended, covering the timeline from 2000. to the present.<ref> Novosti</ref>

The film also discusses the effects of the reforms on all aspects of life in the former Yugoslavia, from politics, economics, military, culture and education to the media.
