Arabian Gulf or Arab Gulf may refer to:

  • Red Sea, an older name used by some European nations until the 19th century

Since the 1960s, starting with Gamal Abdel Nasser, Arabs states have often used the name Arabian Gulf (in Arabic: الخلیج العربي al-khalīj al-ʿarabī) for the body commonly known as the Persian Gulf. This is very controversial, and not commonly used outside of the Arab world or recognized by the United Nations and other international organizations. See Persian Gulf naming dispute for more information.
