Lourdes Virginia Moran Poe was born in St. Luke's Medical Center in Manila, to Filipino actors Fernando Poe, Jr. and Rowena Moran. She studied at the Angeles University Foundation, where she finished High School in Angeles City, where she grew up, on March 31, 2007. She took freshman classes at the International Academy of Management and Economics in Makati City, Philippines. She is currently taking up Psychology at Miriam College, in Quezon City.
She was handpicked by international singing duo Same Same to perform with them the song "Without You," which is included in the duo's debut album "The Meaning of Happy." She was first paired with Cogie Domingo. Her biggest acting break to date came when she was tapped to play the coveted role of Kristal, whose mother Bakekang pushed her to join show business as an actress in the 2006 Bakekang TV series.
