Both ministries had been originally formed in 1990, although they had changed forms and names several times during the 1990s. - The social welfare portfolio was merged into the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare
- The labour portfolio was merged with Ministry of Economy into the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship
