: It seems some editors are cherry-picking scholars who support their point of view. It also seems to have been written from a Hindu-apologist point-of-view. We could include more diverse views, and expand and clarify upon their views, like which scholar said exactly what. It would take time. It is seems even the simplest edit would be fought over. -] (]) 07:47, 19 June 2015 (UTC) | : It seems some editors are cherry-picking scholars who support their point of view. License tagging for File:Saga220.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Saga220.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Misplaced Pages uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Misplaced Pages. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Veer Surendra Sai.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Veer Surendra Sai.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Replaceable fair use File:Saga220.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Saga220.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:55, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- The image is unlikely to be replaceable. I had emailed the site webmaster before uploading the image but it had failed to invoke any response. Being located in a restricted area, it also unlikely for a Wikipedian to photograph the subject. I have added the
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
. But, you may want to check other images from the same press release site being used with the same fair use rational, such as File:ISRO-sre02.jpg. Kenfyre 08:11, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

History of Odisha
Hi. Thank you for your various edits to the above article. Please note that edits should only be marked "minor" if they are small changes of punctuation, grammar, spelling and so on which do not in any way change the sense of the article. Adding new information, or removing even a single modifying phrase, does not count as a "minor" change. It is not helpful if edits are misleadingly marked this way. Thank you. Use as a reference?
About this: Hi, I still didn't get the reason for that NY times link to be placed there in the first place. It seems like a nice reference to use so it doesn't fit in the EL section per WP:ELNO but that means the further reading section too is pointless (since there's no active guideline other than WP:FURTHER). So, shouldn't we use it? -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 13:23, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
- I had not checked the link. Someone else had placed it there. I have removed it now. Kenfyre (talk) 18:32, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Men's civil rights movement notification
Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Men's rights movement in India, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Talk:Men's rights movement/Article probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.
The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is necessarily any problem with your edits. Thank you. -- Bbb23 (talk) 20:14, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Parody religions
Hi Kenfyre. I was just taking a tour through the history of Parody religion - at first looking for some inspiration but then rather inspired to have more fun with them. In case this is an article under your special care (it looked as if it was) - would you feel inspired to introduce such religions in a series at the positivist's blog http://positivists.org/blog/ - where we'd have room for both: entertainment and analysis? all the best --Olaf Simons (talk) 15:06, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
- I originally intended to improve the article much more, but I got sidetracked by other articles I work on. I would very much like to write for your blog, but in the future. Kenfyre (talk) 05:56, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
Request for saving two pages from deletion
Sir, I am thankful to you in anticipation and now I ask you to improve and save two pages mentioned below:-
deletion will discourage me and saving will help you to find good friend i.e. me or suggest me the changes.Profound thanks for helping me again. Rajsector3 (talk) 10:38, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
- Technically, the editors, who have tagged the pages for deletion, have valid reasons under Misplaced Pages policy. Every new page that is created is patrolled by the WP:New pages patrol and the pages are scrutinized for violations of various guidelines, namely WP:COPYVIO, WP:NOTABILITY, WP:BIO etc. You should back up those pages among your WP:USERPAGES in case they are deleted. Research properly before creating new pages in future. News articles and books are usually considered valid references, not blogs or activism sites. You could contribute to other related pages instead. Unfortunately, my vote won't save these articles from possible deletion by admins. Kenfyre (talk) 05:52, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Railway budget articles
I might suggest that these articles include India in their title("2014 Railway Budget of India") to make it clear they are discussing the Indian Railways budget, as many nations or organizations have railway budgets. 331dot (talk) 10:33, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Talk:2012 Delhi gang rape RFC
Kenfyre, can you take a look at my comments at the RFC you started. Albeit for different reasons, I believe both of us are on the same page as to whether the content under discussion should be included in the article (it shouldn't, and I have already removed it as a BLP vio). If that is the case, the RFC can be closed. Let me know what you think. Abecedare (talk) 21:35, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Risley
What dispute? You do not seem to have specified anything. And your tags are wrong: the stuff is sourced in the body of the article as per WP:LEAD. The lead section, by the way, was written almost entirely by one of our most experienced contributors but they were otherwise uninvolved with the article, which means that it must indeed reflect what the article says. Please self-revert. - Sitush (talk) 09:44, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- I can't self revert. This article contains original research. Opinions of other scholars do not belong in the header. Please refer to the talk page. -Kenfyre (talk) 09:52, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for at last explaining your rationale on the talk page. That's a start. You are wrong, of course: even an elementary reading of the article would show you this. If you think that there is a valid alternative perspective then the way to deal with it is to raise that perspective, not tag something that is valid. - Sitush (talk) 10:26, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- I am tagging it for a different reason. I don't claim to have an alternative perspective. Please refer to my reply on the talk page.-Kenfyre (talk) 10:30, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
