Guillermo "Willy" Hernangómez Geuer (born May 27, 1994) is a Spanish professional basketball player who currently plays for Baloncesto Sevilla of the Liga ACB, on loan from Real Madrid.
Professional career
Considered one of the most important prospects of Real Madrid, Hernangómez played his first pro seasons at its reserve team. On summer 2013, Hernangómez was loaned to Cajasol Sevilla, extending his agreement for one more season in the next summer.
NBA
On April 24, 2015, he declared for the 2015 NBA draft. On June 25, 2015, the Philadelphia 76ers drafted him with the 35th pick, and later that night, traded him to the New York Knicks for two future picks and cash considerations joining his Sevilla teammate Kristaps Porziņģis, who had been selected with the 4th pick.
