Hauer tone rows

Hello, my Name is Paramelin, and i am from Austria. Propably you did initialize and mostly edit the page of the "list of tone rows and series". I think, it would be very important to consider the twelve tone series of Josef Matthias Hauer there. Not only that he wrote the first intentional twelve-tone-opus (Nomos. opus 19; aug. 1919 f.i. bar 1-36 ! ). While in his earlier works more tone rows (f. e. through one trope) determined a work, in his later works, the so named "Zwölftonspiel" (1940-59 the whole piece is "born" from one single tone row. Also his Opera "Salambo" 1929 is based on one series (B, F, Ab, C#, G, A ; Eb, F#, C, Bb, D, E). I could'nt believe that in your list i couldn't find a single twelve tone row from him … Best wishes, Paramelin Paramelin (talk) 11:13, 20 July 2015 (UTC)Paramelin (talk) 17:51, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

In English, at least, "tone row" implies an ordered collection. See: Talk:List of tone rows and series#Possible (unordered) tone rows. Hyacinth (talk) 15:38, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

An example: The "Zwölftonspiel. 3. Februar 1954" for piano is based on exactly one ordered collection: D, B, F#, E, A#, C#, D#, G, F, G#, C, A. I could give you many more examples of Hauer like this. Hauer often writes in the title of his late works: "… mit einer Zwölftonreihe …". "Zwölftonspiele" didn't only use the earlier "Tropentechnik". I think, it should be no problem to count him in in your list. If you need help at this point, please use http://www.uni-graz.at/harald.fripertinger/db/ (under "search the database for musical information"; this year will appear a special issue to our studies in "mathematics and music") or write to me : peter_lackner@gmx.at. Best wishes. Paramelin (talk) 20:27, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

If you want me to add his rows to the list you may have to wait. You may add his rows to the list yourself, if you like. Hyacinth (talk) 13:21, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Then I will try to become more familiar with your normal-forms of rows and their inversions next week, and then add a smaller representative collection of Hauer - series. Thank You. Paramelin (talk) 17:51, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

Concerns regarding FA quality

I've just tidied up The Long and Winding Road a little, and removed some unsourced trivia. The article doesn't appear to me as either FA or GA quality in terms of coverage, prose, and MoS requirements - it was promoted in 2004, and reviewed again in 2006, and hasn't been well maintained. I will not have the time to tidy up the article or take my concerns further, however it seems appropriate to raise those concerns rather than merely pass on by, so, per the stage one process at Misplaced Pages:Featured article review I have left a note on the article talkpage, and am notifying relevant Projects and those previously involved in promoting the article. It is unlikely I will be getting involved further. SilkTork 16:25, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
