Distribution of the Sakalava Rail

The Sakalava rail (Amaurornis olivieri) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is endemic to Madagascar.

Its natural habitats are rivers, swamps, freshwater lakes, and freshwater marshes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
