Daniel Holtzclaw is a former Oklahoma police officer. He is on trial for allegedly raping thirteen women. The charges include sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, stalking and rape, all targeted at black women. An all-white jury with eight men and four women was selected. Holtzclaw’s case has evoked national challenge among black women activists and Black Lives Matter movement.

Daniel Holtzclaw was ( (1986-12-10) December 10, 1986 (age 38)) born in Enid, Oklahoma, United States. Holtzclaw's father, Eric Holtzclaw, is a 17-year veteran of the Enid Police Department. His mother, Kumiko Holtzclaw, is unemployed. Hortzclaw joined the Oklahoma City Police Department upon graduation from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in criminal after an unsuccessful attempt to get drafted into the NFL.

Holtzclaw is accused of sexually abusing multiple women after stopping them over the span of his obligations, focusing on ones from a poorer, overwhelmingly African-American some portion of the city. Holtzclaw was fired from the force on January and his trial began on November 2, 2014.

This all happened around two o'clock in the early morning hours on June 18, when Holtzclaw was near the end of his shift on the northeast side of Oklahoma City. During that time Police said Holtzclaw made a traffic stop, without calling assistance or telling his station, he switched off his patrol car computer. An alleged victim age 57-year-old grandmother said, while driving she was stopped by Holtzclaw. Before forcing her to perform oral sex on him, she was asked to show him her private parts. Holtzclaw’s defense lawyers say that the causality was stoned when she was stopped by him, inferring her story is questionable.

Holtzclaw continued to stop women while their strolling down the road. He would sometimes ask them whether they were carrying drugs, instructed them to lift their shirts or drop their jeans to ensure they weren’t carrying any. In some cases, he checked under their dresses himself. Others, he messaged or Facebook asking to meet up later. He even went by some of their homes. By professedly concentrating on specific areas in which majority of the portion is poor African-American women.

Through the span if the examination the quantity of the informers developed to 13 black women. Holtzclaw at present confronts 36 charges, including lawful offense sexual battery, assault, coercive oral sodomy and stalking.

On March 14, Holtzclaw stopped a lady known as C.R.; Prosecutors also believe that this when Holtzclaw conducted escalated. The following incident, On April 14 he stopped another woman known as F.M. He placed her in the backseat, and asking her about whether she has any sort of illegal drugs and prostitution. All the while, running a check on her through the police system, and telling her he needed to search her. Throughout; like in all other affirmed victims’ reports, he would put them in backseat and ask questions about drugs while standing next to them and unfastening his jeans.

Every women that Holtzclaw stop were either was force oral, sexual intercourse. In court on Wednesday Davis the prosecutor uncovered DNA test that was found on a triangle-shaped on the inside of Holtzclaw’s uniform jeans, close to the zipper. Yet the DNA test did not match neither one of the victims that came forward. Family later on made a statement that "The facts are that there is no DNA linking him to any of these women as far as was presented in the hearing."
