Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here.
    Shortcuts

Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection)

After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

Current requests for increase in protection level

Place requests for new or upgrading of article protection, upload protection, or create protection at the BOTTOM of this section. Check the archive of fulfilled and denied requests or, failing that, the page history if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

    List of 2016 albums

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Same IP is removing content. They removed one album saying: "It says it will probably be released this year. Probably isn't good enough". Also showing possession over article, and have been warned about removal of content, but continue. ilovechristianmusic 20:37, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

Looks like a content dispute to me.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:46, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Mob Wives

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Continued on-going disruptive editing by IP's and anonymous editors, which caused its previous blocks over the past year's time. livelikemusic talk! 00:41, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Britney: Piece of Me

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – On-going addition of original research not supported by citations within article or reliable sources anywhere; continued disruptive editing by IP's and anonymous editors. livelikemusic talk! 01:05, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Odd Future

    Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent addition of non-notable members. clpo13(talk) 07:08, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Drake discography

Full protection: Content dispute/edit warring – Ongoing edit war between two users over the definition of Drake's musical releases. Discussion is occurring, but every time a user adds an opinion to the talk page, they revert the page back to their preferred version. Azealia911 talk 07:09, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Please can something be done about this ASAP? The edit was has now regressed from arguing in edit summaries into lines upon lines of "... reverted one edit by ...". Azealia911 talk 19:08, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
The same edit-warring between the same users over the same issue is also taking place at If You're Reading This It's Too Late, it'd be greatly appreciated if they could both be protected. Azealia911 talk 19:13, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Olympiacos B.C.

Full protection or Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent and ongoing vandalism – Tons of IP vandalism. The page was semi-protected ("Allow only autoconfirmed users") for six months by Slon02 due to persistent vandalism. As soon as the protection expired on 25 December 2015, the vandalism orgy started again. These ip users: 79.167.164.4, 80.107.171.231, 2.85.75.79 (among many others) are vandalizing the page continuously. I strongly suggest that the protection shouldn't be just for 6 months, but permanent this time. Thank you so much for your attention. Gtrbolivar (talk) 08:41, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Zaid Ali

    Pending changes: Persistent vandalism/Disruptive editing. Musa ☻ 17:46, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent anon ip vandalism. . JOJ 18:17, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    And you are lynching Negroes

Temporary semiprotection: A developing edit war. Please keep article on this version. --evrik  19:14, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Temporary pending changes: Persistent vandalism – Minor entry getting a wave of vandalism today, probably by students. . ~ neko-chan :3 (talk) 21:00, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Natoli family

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent block evasion by indeffed editor Alec Smithson. The editor changes IP frequently, so I see little value in requesting an evasion block. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:33, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Template:Goal

Temporary full protection: Persistent vandalism. Jolicnikola (talk) 21:38, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Why is it vandalism? SLBedit (talk) 22:00, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
The vandalism of the Husn shujaat with a double enter. Jolicnikola (talk) 00:27, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

    Marriage Boot Camp

Semi-protection: Persistent recent unsourced/vandalism from IP user, adding casting of a seventh season which hasn't been announced, adding different cast members. This page has been been given protection twice within the last two weeks, and these edits continue. -- Whats new? 21:45, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. I dream of horses (My talk page) (My edits) @ 22:06, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Semi-protected for a period of 1 week, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. only (talk) 00:31, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Semi-protection: High level of IP vandalism. — goethean 22:15, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Semi-protected. only (talk) 00:43, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

    Safe-space

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Page is frequently modified by anon user/users at the 167.56.x.x and 167.57.x.x IP ranges to violate WP:POV, changing entire article to a critical POV. Language of modifications is similar, suggesting same individuals are editing anonymously (see here, here, and here for examples). Requests to these various anon users to discuss the issue on the talk page or to create a dedicated criticism section have come to no avail. A block requiring an account to edit (I do not know which sort of block that might be) would allow this person or persons to be engaged in a manner that they can contribute to the article (i.e. add valid criticisms in a constructive manner) rather than an unending cycle of "whack-a-mole.". Talk:Undergarment

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry – This talk page has been a regular target for User:Fangusu's IP sockpuppets for about a week now. Steel1943 (talk) 22:32, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Semi-protected for a period of three days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. @Steel1943: Given that blocks have not resolved the issue, we'll try semiprotection for a few days. Might consider suggesting a rangeblock at ANI if this persists and there is identifiable range here. I, JethroBT 23:56, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Mauro Zárate

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – A lot of unhelpful IP edits. JMHamo (talk) 22:46, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Declined. Recent edits from anonymous editors do not strike me as vandalism as much as an attempt to document recent events around the player's team affiliation. I, JethroBT 23:47, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    Ratmalana Airport

Semi-protection: Returned IP vandals after recent 1-month protection period. (*Note: I'm not logged in...). 172.56.38.229 (talk) 23:29, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. It also appears the IP in question was recently blocked. I, JethroBT 23:36, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

List of the verified oldest men

Indefinite pending changes: Persistent disruptive editing – persistent IP removal of sourced content that does not match the GRG list . Legacypac (talk) 23:54, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

    List of horse breeds

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Virtually all anon IP and new account edits are vandalism. It's a waste of editor resources to constantly be reverting these. Montanabw 00:32, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level

    Shortcuts

Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.

    • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
    • Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
    • Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
    • If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.

Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Unprotection: Page was vandalized 8 years ago. CoconutPaste (talk), 15:00, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

    • CoconutPaste doesn't mention it here, but protecting admin Tanthalas39 last edited in 2008, and the protecting edit summary mentions another admin who, after a username change, edited for a while but retired in 2010: this is definitely the right place to come. Normally I would fulfill the request without question, but these Disney movies are routinely the targets of a long-term disruptive user, so I don't know if this is a good idea. Other admins, note that CoconutPaste is a new account, but his editing patterns make me confident that he's unrelated to the disruptive user. Nyttend (talk) 15:11, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

    Amy-Leigh Hickman

Unprotection: The page was blocked in 2010 as the actress was barely notable. However, the actress since then has appeared in much more and I would like to do an article. I have asked once before, but I got ignored. Thanks. Grangehilllover (talk) 23:27, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Current requests for edits to a protected page

Further information: Misplaced Pages:Edit requests Shortcut

Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.

    • Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
    • Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Misplaced Pages:Suggestions for COI compliance), the {{Edit COI}} template should be used.
    • Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Misplaced Pages:Requested moves, not here.
    • If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
    • This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

    File:Commons-logo.svg

Per the outcome of the TFD, {{Non-free Wikimedia logo}} ought to be replaced with {{Copyright by Wikimedia}} in this article. The talk page is creation protected so I have to ask here. Thanks! Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 09:40, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
