Sidney Selby III (born March 25, 1998), better known as his stage name Desiigner, is an American hip hop recording artist and songwriter from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York City, New York. Desiigner initially gained major recognition for his hit single "Panda", which became popular in its own right after it was sampled in Kanye West's song "Pt. 2" on The Life of Pablo, which went on to inspire freestyles from many artists. On February 11, 2016, Kanye West announced Desiigner's signing to the GOOD Music imprint, under the aegis of Def Jam Recordings.

Musical style
Desiigner's rapping voice has been compared to Future's rapping voice. While talking about those comparisons, he told Complex: "God gave him a blessing, but he gave me a blessing too. I ain't gonna doubt the man's music. He make beautiful music too. Music is made every day. Big ups to him, big ups to Future. I actually like Future’s music. I like his music, you feel me. I’m not a hater or a critic on him, you know, I do me. God bless him, God bless me."
