See Urdu language. Urdu and Ordu has same meaning but different spelling

Ordu is a port city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. It has a population of 112,525 (2000 census).

The city was instituted by ancient Greek settlers under the name Oenoe. "Ordu" was also the name used for a tent in Turkish and Mongol nomadic tribes. It is from this word that the modern English word "horde" came from, as the nomads traveled in massive groups with a family to each ordu.
