Regarding a matter you mentioned
Hello AHeneen, thanks for reviewing the Armenian Monastic Ensembles of Iran articles. Nice to see that its a GA now. I saw you mentioned that you wouldn't be able to visit Iran anytime soon as you're an American? Why so? Quite a few Americans that I know have visited Iran (yes, both pre- and post-Revolution) without any difficulty. Except if you're being screened or have some kind of "history" that makes you being blacklisted, theres absolutely no reason as for why you couldn't visit Iran easily. :-) Just wanted to let you know. Thanks for your help with the GA! I've nominated it for DYK, so hopefully it'll be on the front page soon as well. Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 21:12, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Arbcom case you might be interested in
I just filed an arbitration request against The Rambling Man, citing an example in which you were involved in. You might be interested in the case. Link is here: . Thanks, Banedon (talk) 05:23, 18 August 2016 (UTC)
- Just a note to let you know that in the current political climate, your comparison of TRM to a US presidential candidate may be perceived as uncivil. Miniapolis 14:01, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Just a note, I absolutely take any comparison to Trump as a direct and vile personal attack. I would ask you, with respect, to redact it. If not I will certainly be seeking sanctions against you in due course, regardless of the Arbcom lynching. Also, although I usually expect to see my user name abbreviated only by those who respect me and work with me, and not those who are character-assassinating me, if you insist on doing so, please ensure you spell it T R M, not R T M, or any other kind of combination. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:45, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
Arbitration Case opened
You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/The Rambling Man.
Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/The Rambling Man/Evidence.
Please add your evidence by September 17, 2016, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/The Rambling Man/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration.

Disambiguation link notification for September 13
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited LGV Est, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vandières (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WikiProject Good Articles's 2016-2017 GA Cup
Greetings, all! We would like to announce the start of the 4th GA Cup, a competition that seeks to encourage the reviewing of Good article nominations! Thus far, there have been three GA Cups, which were successful in reaching our goals of significantly reducing the traditionally long queue at GAN, so we're doing it again. Currently, there are over 400 nominations listed. We hope that we can again make an impact this time. The 4th GA Cup will begin on November 1, 2016. Four rounds are currently scheduled (which will bring the competition to a close on February 28, 2017), but this may change based on participant numbers. We may take a break in December for the holidays, depending on the results of a poll of our participants taken shortly after the competition begins. The sign-up and submissions process will remain the same, as will the scoring. Sign-ups for the upcoming competition are currently open and will close on November 14, 2016. Everyone is welcome to join; new and old editors, so sign-up now! If you have any questions, take a look at the FAQ page and/or contact one of the judges. Cheers from 3family6, Figureskatingfan, Jaguar, MrWooHoo, and Zwerg Nase. We apologize for the delay in sending out this message until after the competition has started. Thank you to Krishna Chaitanya Velaga for aiding in getting this message out. To subscribe or unsubscribe to future GA Cup newsletters, please add or remove your name to our mailing list. If you are a participant, you will be on the mailing list no matter what as this is the easiest way to communicate between all participants. |

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, AHeneen. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
WikiCup December newsletter: WikiCup 2017
On 1 January 2017, WikiCup 2017 (the 10th Annual WikiCup) will begin. This year we are trying something a little different – monetary prizes.
For the WC2017 the prizes will be as follows (amounts are based in US$ and will be awarded in the form of an online Amazon gift certificate):
- First place – $200
- Second & Third place – $50 each
- Category prizes – $25 per category (which will be limited to FA, FL, FP, GA, and DYK for 2017). Winning a category prize does not require making it to the final round.
Note: Monetary prizes are a one-year experiment for 2017 and may or may not be continued in the future. In order to be eligible to receive any of the prizes above, the competing Misplaced Pages account must have a valid/active email address.
After two years as a WikiCup judge, Figureskatingfan is stepping down. We thank her for her contributions as a WikiCup judge. We are pleased to announce that our newest judge is two-time WikiCup champion Cwmhiraeth.
The judges for the 2017 WikiCup are Godot13 (talk · contribs · email), Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), and Sturmvogel 66 (talk · contribs · email).
Signups are open now and will remain open until 5 February 2017. You can sign up here.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Isfahan Metro.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Isfahan Metro.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines.
