José Carrete de Julián (born 5 April 1951) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a defender in La Liga in the 1970s and 1980s.
He started with Real Oviedo and gained promotion from the Segunda División with them in 1974–75, although following their subsequent relegation he was transferred to Valencia in 1976.
Valencia won the 1979 Copa del Rey, and Carrete was then a member of the successful Valencia side that won the 1980 European Cup Winners' Cup Final against Arsenal. His last games for Valencia were in the 1982–83 season.
Carrete made two appearances for the Spain national football team.
