Arliss Howard (born Leslie Richard Howard on October 18, 1954 in Independence, Missouri) is an American actor, writer and film director, best known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket and Ruby, and for starring in and directing the film Big Bad Love (also starring his wife Debra Winger).
