Image copyright problem with Image:Chickenmalvani.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Chickenmalvani.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Misplaced Pages because of copyright law (see Misplaced Pages's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Misplaced Pages are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Metal Poll
Hello there. I am an overseer of your brain. I have come to tell you that the Wikimetal Project is holding a poll on the inclusion of certain genres on the heavy metal template and footer that goes onto metal related articles. This poll has a closing date, however, and so here i am, reminding you to vote if you want to, by pumping strange chemicals through your veins. Its hard work being a brain you know!
If you would like to help in this crucial part of the project, the page is here. No, thats not it? Oh my! I posted those pictures of myself, what a devil i am. No the actuall link is here on this link.
I guess ill see you at breakfest when you finally recover from Misplaced Pages. Bye for now body, your Brain 07:05, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Can you help me create a article
Since you are the creator on wiki project Heavy metal. I need help creating a article on The Monolith Deathcult it was one of the articles that needed creating. I have creating the article 3 times. I'm a kind of new member to the project (I joined on June 2) so might not know a lot of things. Leave me a message on my talk page. -- Metal Maiden 21:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

You're right, I did act hastily without looking further into the matter. I'll keep that in mind.
BTW, don't forget to add an edit summary next time. The first time you put classic metal you didn't provide an edit summary. Most of your other edits do not have an edit summary as well. — Prodigenous Zee - 13:15, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:MarcoMendoza.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:MarcoMendoza.jpg. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 05:02, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Nu Metal
I have heard similar arguments against Hair Metal bands in the 80's, the reality is stylistic and finicial motivations aside, if you look solely at the Music of the Nu Metal bands, the show the same agression the same favor of loud heavy sounds as Metal.
No they are not a form of Extreme Metal, nor are they in my opinion Good. However, they are as heavy as Blue Oyster Cult. They use speeded tempos, they do make use of drums and guitar in a manner that is similar to Metal.
Talking about rebellion and such has nothing to do with Metal Music, but metal culture. Nu Metal probably doesn't have a place in Culture of Metal, but it is a Form of metal music. Alos, you speak of niavety, but surely you must know the story of the NSBM movment in Norway and its torrent of flames and blood? There is nothing niave about it. Are Nu Metal acts more intrested in money? I don't know, Metallica thinks its wrong ot copy its songs without permission now that they are big...so, do they stop being metal now that they want money?
Or how about Ozzy allowing a show about his family to be broadcasted on MTV (owned by Time/Warner)? Isn't that a form of selling out? Does that make him and Black Sabbath no longer metal?
Or what about bands like: Demon Hunter, Antestor, As I Lay Dying all of whom sing about Christ, after all chrisitian is part of the "establishment" isn't it? Atechi 17:10, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Your signature
Hello there, I was wondering if you would please modify your signature to conform to the guidelines laid out at Misplaced Pages:Sign your posts on talk pages. The general guidelines are that signatures shouldn't contain images, they shouldn't contain unnecessary internal links or any external links, and they shouldn't be unnecessarily long in Wiki source. The reasoning for this final bit is that overly long signatures tend to overwhelm the actual comments in edit mode, making it hard to track down and respond to specific comments. You can fix your signature by removing any images and external links, any unnecessary links (like links to Wikipedian organizations, articles, or subpages in userspace), and removing excessive color, font, and formatting code. Thank you. --Cyde Weys 21:18, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Please share your insights with the guy who is tagging "Rashtrakuta" page even before he can provide his arguements. I have been trying to explain to him about this too. Also, I only intend to add info from my source. Whether it makes you happy or unhappy is not my purpose or intention. History cant be hidden just because one community does not like it.

Hi, NRS, I saw your comments on Bhadaniji's page and I went to the article with the intention of helping but its an obvious copyvio from . I am putting it up for speedy deletion. re Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Historiography
This article appears to be direct copy of text from here. While I appreciate your contributions to the encyclopedia, we can't accept text from another website (which is presumably under copyright). So the article has to be deleted for copyright reasons. But if you used the article as a basis for an article which you wrote yourself, that would be OK. Certainly it will be very nice if this article features in DYK section. mahawiki 05:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Fair use image on userbox
Hello. Nice job on the new project. Hope this project works hard to create many more Maharasthra related FAs. Just a minor point - {{Template:User WikiProject Maharashtra}} contains a fair-use image Image:Maharashtraseal.png. Such images should not be used outside of the article space especially on userboxes. Please use a free image for such purposes. Thanks. And yes, wish you a very happy Diwali :) - Aksi_great (talk) 10:03, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
A question about Tilak
Hello NRS | /M\. We already talked a bit in the Shivaji talk page article. I am not at all a specialist in Indian history and politics, but I would like to have your opinion on the following, which I post here since I don't want to trigger any war-edit on the Misplaced Pages pages related to India.
Here it is: there is a strange point I don't understand very well. As you know, Tilak has written a book called "The Artic Home in the Vedas" in which he develops about a basic fact well established in the Vedas, according to the the Artic origin of the anciant founders of Hinduism (of course, that may be symbolic, but this is another debate). But the surprising point is the following: as you surely know, there is very harsh discussion (more or less related to Indian politics) about the Aryan Invasion Theory. But a fact which seems to be less known is that Tilak was the guru of Vinayak Savarkar ! Have you any explanation about that ? For me the explanation is the following: it is likely that all the recent stuff about AIT-refutal may come from outside India, even if its visible proponents are Indians. You see what I mean ? Thank you for exchanging info about that, it might be quite interesting. AlexOriens 10:54, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Maharashtra portal
Thanks for ur message.I would be very happy to contribute to the project but I am unaware about what exactly I can do or in fact what is the difference between Maharashtra project and Maharashtra wiki project. Please do let me know when u think about a task which I can do. Mahawiki 11:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- I shall surely contribute to the extent possible. Thanks for the invitation. --Bhadani 15:09, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
The lighted path
I thank you for your greetings. I wish you All The Best on the ocasion of the Indian festival of light, Diwali. I am sure that the light of hope, confidence, and all positive attributes shall always remain inside you – lighting your path and guiding you to attain higher and higher levels of excellence in all your endevours! All the best! --Bhadani 15:08, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: Tilak
The point is the following; people who refute AIT are very often linked politically to the right-wing and to the organizations more or less hindutva-related, hence more or less related to Savarkar. The strange point is that Savarkar's influences, like Tilak rested heavily on classical Hindu (and orthodox BTW) Vedas interpretation of an artic origin of the anciant rishis. You see the contradiction ? See ya. AlexOriens 16:03, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Alex Machacek
Repack that attitude, son, it's not going to get you far.
I singled out "jaw-dropping" as an EXAMPLE of sheerly obvious adspeak, not the only flaw. I could have tagged "his extra-ordinary chops" and "the ease with which he shifts..." as other examples.
If you have any issues, please tell me first. Don't tag articles just like that.
That's what the TAG is for in the first place. Pay attention. Oh, and dropping one ridiculously opinionated adjective doesn't come close to fixing things. --Calton | Talk 21:27, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Before trying to advise others, first try to rectify your own attitude, kid. You were told the same thing by another editor.
- It's said often to me, kiddo, by trolls, the dishonest, the incompetent, and the fanatical. Why, are you suggesting a correlation?
- In any case, since you a) have done nothing to rectify the problems; b) remain blithely unaware of why they are problems; and c) don't seem to understand the point of tags in general; I'm restoring the tags and referring you to this page, this page, and this page. Hint 1: read them all, though especially the first. Hint 2: the tags exist for a reason. Hint 3: removing tags without dealing with the underlying causes is, shall we say, frowned upon. --Calton | Talk 04:17, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- What IS your major malfunction? It's in the tags, I've already told you my specific take, given you THREE examples, AND pointed you to the specific pages that cover it -- and given your attitude, I'm going to change my mind and tell you to read the third link first. --Calton | Talk 04:28, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
