Simon Shelton (13 January 1966 – 17 January 2018), also known as Simon Barnes, was a British actor best known for playing Dark Knight in the Incredible Games, and Tinky Winky in the BBC children's show Teletubbies (replacing the sacked Dave Thompson) from 1997 to 2001.

Personal life

Shelton had three children, and lived in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. He was the uncle of The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack.

He died on 17 January 2018, four days after his 52nd birthday.
