St. George's, Hanover Square was a parliamentary constituency in Central London. It returned one Member of Parliament to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, elected by the first past the post system of election.
History
The constituency was created under the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885, and was named after the parish of the same name. There was another St George's constituency in Tower Hamlets, which was often known as "St George's in the East" to distinguish the two (this was, coincidentally, the formal name of the parish after which it had been named).
The constituency was abolished in 1918, with the majority of the electorate going to Westminster St. George's.
Boundaries
The constituency was defined in the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885 as "The Parish of St George, Hanover Square".
