Yasha (Template:Lang-ru) is a Russian male name. It is the pet form of the name Yakov (Я́ков, Иа́ков), which is the equivalent of "Jacob" and "James".
It is also used by Iranians and Iranian Turks (Azeris in Iran) (Template:Lang-fa) as a male name; in those languages, the word Yasha means "to live" and the name Yashar means "to live forever."
People and fictional characters called Yasha include:
- Yasha Khalili, Iranian footballer
- Yasha Malekzad, English music video director/producer
- Gu Yasha, Chinese footballer
- Yasha, a fictional character from Asura's Wrath, a video game
- Yasha, a female fictional character played by Ashley Johnson on the D&D show "Critical Role"
- Yassen Gregorovich, a male fictional assassin from the Alex Rider book series (his first name was originally Yasha but "it somehow got changed" according to the first chapter in the book "Russian Roulette.")
