It is located in Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Forest, at 36°41′38″N 118°55′08″W / 36.69389°N 118.91889°W / 36.69389; -118.91889.

The tallest giant sequoia on earth (95 metres (312 ft)) is also located in this grove, along with the Hart tree which is just smaller than the Roosevelt tree.
