Acharya Prem Suri was a Jain Svetambar Murtipujaka Acharya. He belonged to the Tapa Gaccha sub-sect. After his death, his tradition was divided into two; led by Bhuvan Bhanu Suri and Ram Chandra Suri respectively because of tithi issue and Bhuvanbhanu Suri continued to follow the tithi of his guru (which is now known as Prem-Bhuvanbhanu Suri samuday) and Ramchandra suri started following the tithi other than his guru (now known as Ramchandra Suri samuday). Bhuvanbhanu suri And his guru’s tradition has the largest number of monks in Svetambara murtipujaka sect.

He was a disciple of Jain monk named Acharya Dansuriji. Along with Vijayanandsuri, Dharma Vijay and Nitin Suri, he reformed Samvegi monks.
