'''NOW BANNED FROM EDITING EVEN IF I WANT TO.'''
== Warning ==

You've been asked/told on countless occasions to follow the normal rules of English punctuation when editing the encyclopedia. You've steadfastly refused. You insist that the entire world (apart from you) is wrong, so you intend to continue inserting your nonstandard formatting until the rest of us accept that fact.<br />As I recall, you came close to being banned, but you were permitted to continue editing on the condition that volunteers monitor your edits and promptly clean up after you. No such monitoring and cleanup are occurring (I just corrected an addition from 2 April), presumably because the agreement ended when you claimed to leave Misplaced Pages.<br />I'm writing to provide an opportunity for you to cease the deliberate disruption. I assume that you'll soon remove this message (with no response beyond a rude edit summary, if that), which is fine. I don't expect politeness from you. I only expect you to either stop polluting the encyclopedia with your activism or be blocked (not by me, of course). The choice is yours. —] 06:25, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

== Disruptive editing at Transphobia ==

Hi, ],

I want to discuss a topic with you about the ] article, where you have recently been active both in the article and the ]. This discussion started at ] but I'm continuing it here, because it doesn't really seem to be about improving the article anymore&mdash;if it ever was&mdash;rather, it's about what looks to me like ] on your part.

After a discussion you started at ] that started out rocky but seemed to be moving in the right direction, I really had high hopes you were going to contribute something positive to the article. I still do, but {{diff|Transphobia|780956515|780907456|your last edits}} to the article were disappointing. I hope you understand why you were reverted by ], which {{they|GorillaWarfare}} explained in the {{diff|Transphobia|780956585|780956515|edit summary of {{their|GorillaWarfare}} revert}}, namely, "''Failure to cite a reliable source''. Actually, {{they|GorillaWarfare}} was going easy on you in the edit summary, because it was worse than that: you interpolated words into the article that are purely your own opinion about transsexuality. Even worse, you inserted your opinions into a sentence which has a reference at the end of it, making it appear that your opinion is validated by the authors of the work, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

From your use of words on the Talk page, it's clear that your are an intelligent person, so I'm afraid that playing dumb about not understanding the difference between inserting your own opinions into the article and inserting ] material with references from ] is not going to fly. Please be sure that any further material you insert into the article is fully supported by a ] which you should include in the very same edit as your changes, to avoid being reverted again. Furthermore, as the ] article is subject to ], which you've ], you may possibly find yourself ] for even a single perceived mistake in this controversial area.

My advice to you is twofold: please abandon the ] article for a time, find a non-controversial article that is not subject to discretionary sanctions, and make some improvements there. If you insist on continuing to edit ], I strongly recommend that you propose any changes you wish to make to the article on the ] first, and wait for some reactions, before inserting anything into the article itself. I hope you take this advice to heart. Cordially, ] (]) 09:20, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

:You may consider my attempts to improve the Transphobia article permanently abandoned as I regard my point as proven.Any statement that does not reflect a pro-trans POV gets edited out of the article.--L.E./] (]) 18:57, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

::You are too smart to believe that, and Misplaced Pages needs smart editors like you. I hope you find another article of interest to you that you can contribute to, perhaps something not subject to a lot of controversy. What are your other interests? Do you follow sports, film, video games, history, or have a hobby that is underrepresented here? There are a bunch of ] that welcome new volunteers and often have a backlog of tasks that need help in various interesting areas. Here's a ] you can browse.
::Feel free to ping me anytime, or, if you need help about any topic, you could try the ], or just add a question to your talk page and put <code><nowiki>{{HelpMe}}</nowiki></code> above it, and an admin will come by to assist. ] (]) 22:30, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

:::If you've looked at my history back to 2003 (as you indicated) you know that I have contributed in a wide variety of areas but have gotten absolutely fed up with certain Misplaced Pages-culture attributes.You can't expect to tap the expertise of those you disrespect.--L.E./] (]) 01:10, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

::::Okay, I get that, but I'm guessing you're talking about what you perceive to be a politico-cultural divide which is at the root of the disrespect (apologies if I guessed wrong), but that wouldn't affect all subject areas of the encyclopedia, right? I've noticed here and there different experienced editors getting fed up and either storming off, or slinking away quietly but the end result is a loss to the encyclopedia; I wouldn't like to see that happen here. This is not a suggestions that you go and get involved there again right away, since I can sense your frustration, maybe even disgust, at what you perceive to be going on and I still think you should take a break from that article and whole subject area for a while. But that doesn't mean forever, either, and once you've maybe worked on some other stuff if you still want to tackle Transphobia when you're in a better mood, it will probably go better. Misplaced Pages may have started out small, but it's a giant battleship or maybe better, huge, motorless barge now, and if your mission is to ], you're going to get frustrated. Try just shoring up the timbers here and there, where you see you can plug a leak or fix some structure; that will help the project, and I suspect, bring you back to the spirit which brought you here in the first place.
:::: Here's one idea for you that I hope will help: I somehow stumbled over ] which is a bot that looks at your history and comes up with some suggestions of articles to work on. You can either subscribe, or do it just once. I did it once, and if you want, have a look at my Talk page to ] for me. I took its advice in a few cases, and had a ball. It's pretty cool, you should give it a try! ] (]) 19:26, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

:::::There are a handful of articles I do tend to chime in on but in general,I feel that it's a matter of personal integrity to ensure that Misplaced Pages pays a price (if my contributions are deemed to have a value that I can withhold) for its toxic culture.There are people who were encouraging me to stay years ago who are themselves gone...perhaps someday something will cross a line for you and you'll join them.--L.E./] (]) 01:25, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

:::::: Yikes, ''...to ensure that Misplaced Pages pays a price...''&mdash;whoa, there! Can I ask if you got into a lot of bar fights when you were younger?<abbr title="Just kidding; winking smiley face!"> jk ;-) </abbr> Seriously, while some things can get my dander up (say, monolinguals plunking machine-translated gobbledygook translated from a foreign wikipedia article onto a fresh page, and calling it a new article) I try to take a deep breath, and discuss calmly. Sometimes several deep breaths, or a day or two's worth. As in a way, it's not my basic nature (which I suspect is more like yours, in reality). Encountering opposition, sometimes even antagonism, here and having to deal with it, is actually a pretty good training ground I find for RL conflict of certain types. If only everyone slugging it out on political internet forums were obligated to first take an apprenticeship at WP in reaching consensus on a controversial article change before they were allowed to post on their fave forum, the world would be a better place. Maybe you and I should head out to a bar, beat each other to a pulp, and come back and edit calmly, trying not to bleed too much onto the articles. Whaddaya say? Know any good dive bars, where a little bust-up outside will be ho-hummed and yawned off, so we can go back in afterward and have another beer, and try to speed-edit each other into oblivion on our favorite article where we disagree? ;-) ] (]) 02:40, 20 May 2017 (UTC)

===Inigo Hare===
Thanks for your message and update. I had assumed given the dead link it was a deceitful edit, but can see that is not the case. There is clearly an Inigo Hare who is almost certainly Caspar's son based on this evidence and another death notice I have unearthed, though it is perhaps less clear that he is a son born in wedlock (which is required for him to be an heir). Reference books are never perfect (particularly as the Hare family now reside in the US), but I'm sure you're aware that we need some source to cite to list Inigo as heir, and I am concerned that a patchwork of death notices and the foreword to a book isn't strong enough. --] (]) 19:43, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi Lewis, the "]" template is a standard template that is added to literally thousands of IP user pages. I'm wasn't disputing that he is the Dean. However, to add this to the Misplaced Pages article you needed to provide a citation to a reliable source for the fact, so that readers can ] it.
