The Phoenix Arts Centre is a fully functioning commercial theatre built nine years ago on the ruins of the old William Parker School assembly hall, which burnt down in ????. Since then The Phoenix Arts Centre has developed and Expanded into the venue you see today.
Working closely with William Parker School has provided the pupils of the school a fantastic oppertunity to get involved in the technical running of a theatre at a young age and train to become the technical teams that keep the ancient traditions of theatre alive.
The Phoenix Arts Centre can also now provided two new excellent performance venues. Firstly The Phoenix Little Theatre, a fully equiped venue perfect for small confrences, meetings and performences. Secondly The Phoenix Dance Studio a perfect venue for perfomences in artistic dance and performance. A range of other halls and rooms are also avalible to hire at certain times for any activity needed.
With three main venues avalible and numerous other halls and rooms avalible for hire The Phoenix Arts Centre is the perfect venue for any performance, corprate meeting or social gathering. After extencive recent refurbishment and continous improvments over the past nine years The Phoenix Arts Centre Complex now offers to all custermers:
* One main 450 seater theatre style / 260 seater caberate style venue, Fully equiped with full lighting,sound and AV facilitys. * One 74 seater 'Little Theatre', Fully equiped with lighting,sound and AV facilitys. * One 160 seater Dance Studio,With black box sprung dance floor, Fully equiped with lighting and sound and AV facilitys
