The National Capital Territory of Delhi is divided into nine districts. Each district is headed by a Deputy Commissioner and has three subdivisions. A Subdivision Magistrate heads each subdivision. All Deputy Commissioners report to the Divisional Commissioner. Delhi has been chosen as the site for the Commonwealth Games of 2010. This has led to a spate of development work like construction of flyovers, metro rails, etc.
