I just wanted to stop in for a moment and say thanks to all who left messages above; it really does mean a lot. That being said, I really really really need a long break. When it feels like enough, I'll see if maybe I feel up to try to ease back into editing. Thanks again. –] (] • ]) 03:46, 11 November 2020 (UTC) I just wanted to stop in for a moment and say thanks to all who left messages above; it really does mean a lot. Precious

abuse of notation

Thank you for quality work around articles about mathematics and its notation such as abuse of notation, for help at the math reference desk, for dealing with articles for creation and deletion, for "I don't want to paste this in umpteen times", "Please at least acknowledge that you understand the issue." and this notation, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 2452 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:29, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

miss you - (I know how it feels to be ready to leave, but stubbornly stayed, to not please those who want me gone.) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:41, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

I certainly do not blame you for taking a break from here; but I hope it is only temporary, and to see you editing again some time in the future! Best wishes, JBL (talk) 21:53, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes, I hope you come back, you've done good work here. Paul August 21:57, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Ai ya... I hope you have a change of heart. We've only interacted a few times but I'm thankful for your humor on the Discord and your editing here (and low tolerance for BS!). Best wishes, Ovinus (talk) 23:33, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Thank you...

We worked together in Feb/Mar 2018, defending List of school shootings in the United States, from an editor who was determined to add inappropriate information. I felt honored to work with and assist an experienced editor. We exchanged only a few TP comments, but you made me feel welcomed and supported. Thank you for providing this rewarding experience of collegial cooperation. Over two years have past, but I still remember you, and I am still grateful for this good experience. I sincerely hope that you will return to WP. Thanks for all the good work you have done. Best wishes, Tribe of Tiger 00:01, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Will miss you!

Bye Deacon, sad to hear you have retired from this place. Thanks for your valuable and relevant contributions! We'll miss you. Take care... - DVdm (talk) 11:16, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

Quick note

I just wanted to stop in for a moment and say thanks to all who left messages above; it really does mean a lot. That being said, I really really really need a long break. When it feels like enough, I'll see if maybe I feel up to try to ease back into editing. Thanks again. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 03:46, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Thank you. There are many corners in this project, DYK? I found mine why I'm relatively undisturbed. But just as you like it. You look like the perfect member of the cabal of the outcast ;) - and you hopefully noticed that what you did for us (without knowing probably) was successful. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:33, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
