John Earle Sullivan is a political activist, photojournalist. He competing in trials for the 2018 Winter Olympics as a speed skater but failed to make the team.

On June 29 2020 a Back the Blue protest was held consisting of a number of vehicles driving around Provo police station. Sulivan and others organized a counter-protest blocking vehicles. At the protest, shots were fired into a vehicle and one driver injured, one man, Jesse Taggart, was charged with attempted murder. According to a police affidavit Sulivan damaged vehicles and cooperated with Insurgence USA (an anti-fascist activist group against police brutality which he founded) to recruit protesters for a protest.

Sullivan illegally entered the United States Capitol in January 6, 2021 (the day of the Capitol riots), capturing on video the death of Ashli Babbitt, being near when she was shot. Sullivan later spoke to police and FBI agents about the shooting.

Because he used the hashtags #BLM and #Antifa on Facebook, Sullivan was the subject of right-wing conspiracy theories which claimed antifa were behind the Capitol riots. Although there as a photojournalist, he filmed himself chanting "let's burn this shit down" before heading into the building; he said this was to "blend in" with the riotous crowd. On January 13, Sullivan was charged federally with being on restricted property, civil disorder and "violent entry or disorderly conduct".
