== Word with you ==

Since you seem to know a lot about former Wikipedians do you remember Xander? He was a troll i tried to block so many times and when he was banned i was happy. Anyway, I just now remembered how Xander always bragged that he could get you to be his admin protector (since you had a positive interaction with the knuckle head when you kindly warned him to stop harassing i mean edit warring with anothe ruser (i think it was Carrite?) on that Kotaku article (Xander wanted to pretend Kotaku was a anti feminist, i miss those good days). I laughed at that of course, but I see from your recent block of that user who created those drafts about Oshwah and Ed Fitzgerald that you tend to go with the flow,so it's obvious Xander could have tricked you to join his misog trope on this site if he pushed hard enough. BTW Pwrsian Poet Gal never tried to help me close the gender gap so i was glad when she left the site, one less admin who doesn't care about the gap. BMK is grumpy, and is conservative. He hates woemn too. But of course without sources or meeting our article standards, we can't make drafts or articles about those people or those accusations can we?

  • If I leave a message for you: Please respond on your talk page. I'll probably add it to my watchlist, but if I miss something, feel free to leave a talkback.

  • If you leave a message for me: I will most likely respond here. Either add this page to your watchlist or ask me to notify you of a response on your talk page.

  • Note: I reserve the right to decline or withdraw from a situation that is escalating or uncomfortable, without giving a reason, or to take further action through permissable means. (See this policy.)

  • If I mistakenly called your edits as vandalism when I reverted them, it was probably because you did not leave an edit summary. Please realize that, in many cases, unexplained edits are indistinguishable from vandalism! This also applies to Rollbacks.

  • If you're here to troll, harass, or vandalise, I might not be able to stop you, but you will be reverted...and beware the giant dice.

Do you still need File:Misplaced Pages screenshot (Visitors to Ezra Pound at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for the Mentally Ill - July 4 2012).png? If not, i would propose it for deletion, as I do not see any possible uses. --TheImaCow (talk) 19:55, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Ah, that was from an ancient CfD. I'll G7 it - thanks for pointing that out! - The Bushranger One ping only 20:47, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Completely lost

Hi, I’m having serious trouble contacting you or anyone as I dont know how. I dont know why they just dont use the simple pm system. I wanted to respond to all the users who responded to my talk page but dont know how. I have a high interest in explaining details and clearing things up. I’d like to personally thank primefac for all her help and major support and excellent ensue. She undertook strenuously an issue that was dead in the hole along with me in it. Able to sympathise, express, and raise awareness to an import issue and struggle. Lastly, I was also banned from the livechat channel for the same reason. The Name. Just recently for trying to reach primefac even though all I was trying to do was be able to message her. See if you can help. And if this not the right channel to contact you. I dont know what else. Hahhaha. "Without strife, your victory has no meaning. Without strife, you do not advance. Without strife, there is only stagnation.""Without strife, your victory has no meaning. As far as I know there is no "livechat" on Misplaced Pages? This is the way to contact through talk pages. And, you're welcome. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:10, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Hey Bushranger, the user came in #wikipedia-en-help on IRC earlier today which led Primefac to start the discussion at RFC/N. — The Earwig  00:22, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
Aaah, IRC. I remember IRC. From so very long ago. Thanks, that explains it. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:58, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Hello. I appreciate your assistance earlier. It may just be me, and I know you saw his last revert of my edit. But do you think he called me stupid? Will you look at his edit description? Am I misreading it? Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 05:40, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

He was referencing the KISS principle - it's a saying. Possibly not the best thing to use there, but- - The Bushranger One ping only 05:42, 23 January 2021 (UTC)
Ok. Cool. I was just suspicious after the previous edits. Thank you. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 06:03, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

DYK for List of McDonnell Douglas DC-X launches

On 23 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article List of McDonnell Douglas DC-X launches, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the McDonnell Douglas DC-X experimental SSTO rocket (pictured) was launched twelve times but never flew higher than 3.14 kilometres (1.95 mi)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/List of McDonnell Douglas DC-X launches. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, List of McDonnell Douglas DC-X launches), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

UAA admin work

I was just elected to adminship via RFA this week, and I've been taken part in some UAA stuff. You can see the block log for the handful I've blocked, which were fairly obvious. I've also declined two - the Greensandco one and Welshheraldrygenealogy was sent to UAA as evidencing shared use (declined). I'm rather afraid to mess things up there, and would like so input from a more experienced admin? Are any of those bad errors in judgment? Hog Farm Talk 00:56, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Welcome to the madhouse. Those sound reasonable to me; my general guide is honestly to just follow your gut, there's a blurry line in the middle between clearly-good and clearly-bad but in most cases the feeling you get while looking at their contributions won't be wrong. Also, don't be afraid to skip over some if you're simply not sure - I do that all the time. - The Bushranger One ping only 01:37, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) Hog Farm, I'll second what Bushranger said (including congratulations on your mop). My philosophy on most administrative actions is to be conservative. I've much more often screwed things up by doing something than by not doing something. The corollary to that is be quick to admit mistakes. We all make mistakes. It's no big deal as long as you fix it with a smile and move on. -- RoySmith (talk) 01:52, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
^ This, basically. If you're sure, then plunge on ahead and eat the consequences be as they may. If you're not sure, remember that it's okay to let somebody else handle it. - The Bushranger One ping only 01:56, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
