The seventh game, if necessary, will be played on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31. The locations and venues will be determined by the winners of those respective series. As per the 2006 Collective Bargaining Agreement signed on October 24, the league that wins next year's All-Star Game in San Francisco shall control home field advantage in next year's Fall Classic. It will be televised by FOX—the first World Series to commence on a Tuesday since the Reds defeated the A's by a score of 7-0 at Riverfront Stadium on October 16, 1990.
