And why should Tibet be free? Why not Alaska and Hawaii be free? You should know that days of western supremacy are now going down fast and there is no need for the non-western world to accept biased western point of view of looking at things. Time has come to question each and everything which western people have imposed on others. We also question American intervention in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, role of US govt in creating ISIS and atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki because we do not believe the American story that it was necessary to stop the war because the war ended anyway. | And why should Tibet be free? Hello- request comment on this page you made a while back./ ] (]) 01:10, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
:Hello again! I've been slowly building Misplaced Pages's information base on Khotan and Kashgar, and I have made a new discovery today. Responding to the basic problem behind your comment here: , I think I have made a more correct identification for the ] described on the Kokyar page you made. There is indeed a Kokyar in Keriya/Yutian County (over 400 km away to the southeast of ]), but there is ALSO a Kokyar Township just about 50 km south of ]. This must be the Kokyar I you were talking about when you made the ] page. I plan to make the necessary changes this week. (Our conversation is a little confusing to me, so let me know if you don't understand what I'm saying.) ] (]) 01:46, 13 April 2020 (UTC) '''(modified)'''
:: Reply: Thanks so much for the excellent detective work! It seems to me you have solved the puzzle! Congratulations, and thanks again - i really appreciate the work you have done on this. Cheers, ] (]) 02:55, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
::: If you like that, check out the ] page now! Made a lot of new additions. Couldn't find an uploadable photograph. You may like the maps I've added. Loved looking up those old books you mentioned. I plan to move on to some towns in Tashurkgan County next week. ] (]) 11:40, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
::: Oh hey, I just now put two and two together and realized that it's probably you that wrote the "Through the Jade Gate to Rome: A Study of the Silk Routes during the Later Han Dynasty" book. Is there a digital version of this book that we can link to? I found Stein's 1912 book. Thanks for any help. ] (]) 11:51, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
:::Also, if you have Uyghur names for the villages in Kokyar, let me know and I will add them. Right now, the only names I could find were the Chinese character names for the villages (except for one village, Outunsu / Otan-su). ] (]) 11:56, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
:::We may be tempted to think that a place like Kokyar isn't really that important or significant, but the population of Kokyar is more than that of the country of Palau. It's very sad that I can only put together the relatively short entry that I have, and it's extremely sad that I couldn't find the Uyghur names for the villages. ] (]) 12:28, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
::Hi again! Thanks for all the work you have been doing - it is a relief to me to know someone is interested in these small but strategically important places on the ancient trade routes into Xinjiang, and adding to them. Unfortunately, I am practically totally bedridden now and not able to focus as much as I would like on my studies. However, I have had a look through most of the old books and papers I have here at home relating to the region and cannot find anything more worth adding. Other than a few references by 19th and early 20th century foreign travellers, there is very little available on Kokyar that I know of other than official reports in Chinese.
::I think the main reason there is so little information available is because there have been so few outside visitors in recent times) There was a big drop in visits to the region after the rebellions and battles between warlords leading up to the invasion of China by Japan and the battles between the Kuomintang and the Communists. After the Communist victory in 1949 the region was basically closed to foreigners - especially after China began testing atomic weapons in the region. My wife and I were extremely fortunate to be among the first foreigners allowed to travel along the old southern branch of the Silk Routes from Kashgar to Dunhuang in 2011 for 3 glorious weeks with our own vehicle guide and driver - we were SO very fortunate! I don't imagine it would be easy to repeat such a journey these days. Thanks again for all you are doing - i do hope you will keep a watch on entries from the region. If I come across any articles which may be of use to you I will let you know and then send them on to you if you would give me your email address. All my very best wishes.] (]) 01:27, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
:::Sorry - I meant Keriya Town not Kokyar in the note above - please excuse me.] (]) 01:29, 19 April 2020 (UTC)

Any reason for removing the recently added section on talk page of history of Christianity in India?
Can you tell me genuinely that why did you remove that section from history of Christianity in India talk page? Was it in any way violating any Misplaced Pages rules? Or you are one of those fundamentalist Christians who want to prove Christianity reached India by 52 AD while there is no evidence for it?
