This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of Fajkfnjsak (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · logs · block log · arb · rfc · lta · SPI · cuwiki) that was created to violate Misplaced Pages policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sockpuppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. Hammersoft (talk) 21:00, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

In your recent post at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard you said that two of your accounts had been banned for 6 months, and that in each case you had been given a specific date when the ban would be over. Also, as User talk:Word2001 you said that you had "served the 6 month suspension". However, none of the accounts of yours that I have been able to find has ever been blocked or banned for six months, so you must have in mind two other accounts that I don't know about. What two accounts are those? (You are very unlikely ever to be unblocked as long as administrators know that you have had other sockpuppet accounts that have not been identified, so telling us what accounts they are is vital if you wish to be unblocked.) JBW (talk) 22:00, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi, when I had my socks on my last 2 accounts (yes I am referring to the Word2001 account and I think the one before was Editor977. Hammersoft listed all of them on the administrators page. that is all of them) I returned to wikipedia and it said something like "this address has been blocked for 6 months until.... which was 6 months from that point. Each time I waited for the 6 months and came back. Now I am back and want to edit. I wont make socks and I have no incentive to make socks and the past 2 times over the past year have been the same deal where I try to make good edits and then someone bans me on some misunderstanding. I said in my administrators post that 6 months ago I just did not know I had to identify myself as Fajkfnjsak. I did it this time but now Hammersoft called my claim that it was a 6 month ban fallacious. However agian its a misunderstanding.

On the last ban 6 months ago, Hammersoft said it was indefinite which litearlly means unknown time period so when I checked any wikipedia page (if i clicked "edit" on any wiki page) to see how long I would be banned it said 6 months and even gave me a specific date to come back on when I could edit again (which is why I was able to make this account and the edit I made today at the admin page). fallacious just means based on a mistaken belief, so I dont know why that deserves another instant ban when Hammersoft could have just told me that the wiki page saying 6 months doesnt matter. Im just trying to resolve the issue. Hammersoft said I could lay out an unblock request here. Do you know how to do that? @JBW: Could I just be on a probationary period with a one strike youre out? I will not make socks and I literally have no reason to make any socks, especially given that it always leads to an immediate ban. This is the 2nd time now Im trying to resolve the issue and get back to editing

I just checked a wiki page, after logging out and now it says "This block has been set to expire: no expiry set." With previous bans it used to say 6 months and give a specific date 6 months from then that I could edit again (which is proven by me being able to come back and edit). Hammersoft was saying that it was fallacious but they clearly gave me a different type of ban this time so maybe they now know what I was referring to and can unban me.

now it says how to do unblock request at the top of my page

Hammersoft, its not fair for you to say "This new sockpuppet..." on the admin page. according to Misplaced Pages "sockpuppet" is a "misuse of multiple Misplaced Pages accounts". This is new account that is used properly. I identified it with the old account as the last admin requested. So its not a sockpuppet

RandomCanadian, its not fair for you to say "Block evasion to request an unblock..." on the admin page. This is not block evasion. I explained in my text in my section on the admin page that you commented on that I dont have passwords to the old accounts which is why I have this new one, and I named the original account. So it is not block evasion.

Unlock request

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hi Hammersoft, or whoever will review this. The 6 month comment was a misunderstanding. During each of those 2 bans over the last year for socks I clicked on wiki pages or edit to see how long the indefinite ban was ultimately set for and it said something like 6 months and then it gave a speciifc date 6 months from now, which passed recently which is why I was able to make this account and the admin page post. That is why I was able to make the Word2001 account and those edits too. becuse indefinite became 6 months with a specific date when I could edit again. This time I checked adn it says "This block has been set to expire: no expiry set.". So I got a different type of block this time than the last 2 times. I was just saying what I read on wiki pages when I would check the ban lenght - it would say that this user could not edit for 6 months and it would expire on which was 6 months from that time.

As far as moving forward, this is the 2nd time I waited the full 6 months in the past year, which I feel is a good faith attempt to show that I am not making socks or trying to evade bans. I will not make socks. I have no reason to do so. They are immediately found and I am banned. Why would I even want to? I dont and wont.

Could I just be on a probationary period with a one strike youre out? You wont need to give a strike, Im wouldnt go through all this trouble just to make a sock Bilto74811 (talk) 23:24, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

No. Given your actual history, including having many socks at the same time getting blocked at SPI, I don't see this as a honest request. This isn't how you get unblocked. Your best bet is to write down the password for this account, do NOT create any new sockpuppets, then come back in 1 year and ask to be unblocked. At that time, they would run a checkuser to make sure you haven't created more socks, and then maybe, just maybe, you could be unblocked. I can only speak for myself, but that is the only scenario I would entertain an unblock. Dennis Brown - 23:57, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I did wait a year and didnt make socks. except last time with word2001 where the last admin says that counted because I didnt say I had that old account previously which I did not know was a thing. even though it wasnt an attmept to avoid a ban as I explained above. Im fine with the checkuser in a year, I dont want to give the password as that seems like a general bad internet idea. why would you even need that? @Dennis Brown:

Hello Bilto74811. Please do not share your password with anyone. I think Dennis is making a reference to your statement that you don't have the passwords from your throwaway accounts - frankly it doesn't really matter if you lose your password or not. Anyway, I'm not here to address your unblock request, however, I would like to make a comment to the admins who have responded so far, and to the general audience here, in order to clear up a misunderstanding. Misplaced Pages blocks can be confusing and work on multiple levels with some complicated rules. It is a credible statement that you believed the block was for six months before you could request to be allowed to edit again, and I believe there was absolutely no dishonesty involved in that statement. However that isn't how blocks work in practice. In practice you are blocked until your request to have your account unblocked has been accepted by admin. And frankly I don't see why an arbitrary and extra time of one year should be applied. How you negotiate that is up to you, like I said I'm not here to unblock you, but this should help. -- zzuuzz 01:52, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi zzuuzz, thanks for the explanation, yes I wasnt going to give my password. I appreciate your statement that blocks are complicated, work on multiple levels, you believe my statement was honest, and that you don’t see the arbitrary extra year after the year I already waited is necessary. It would be helpful if you could tell me if there was some way to open up at least a discussion on the admin page like I tried to do initially. That way at least different admins could offer their opinions on the unblock. You have said you’re not here to unblock me, but maybe youd be willing to comment on the matter if the section was open for comment on the admin page?

Do you have some idea of how I could try to get the admin section open at least to a discussion like with other unban requests on the admin page? Given that Hammersoft wrote that they decided to close it based on what was just a misunderstanding. Do I just ask Hammersoft here (ping them?) if they would consider reopening discussion? @Zzuuzz:
