New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. is an auto manufacturing plant in Fremont, California, operating since 1984. It is a joint venture between General Motors and Toyota and has produced vehicles such as the Toyota Corolla, Geo Prizm, Pontiac Vibe and the later Chevrolet Nova. Employment is nearly 5,000 workers.
